4 Tips to better Nutrition

Nutrition is a daily choice that we all have to make. We want you to be bold, raw, inspired, and extraordinary when developing and growing your nutrition choices. It is an important topic to stay informed about. Nutrition does not have to be boring, it can be fun! Throughout the week we have posted tips on our social media accounts to help our audience stay updated and informed about the best tips to live a life to better yourself.


First, good nutrition habits are necessary in order to have a strong immune system. It’s important that we take care of the inside of our bodies as well as the outside. Having good nutrition habits help to prevent sickness from developing in the future. Good food helps to determine a good mood. The type of food you eat correlates with the way your body response throughout the rest of the day. In order to make your day better, make good food choices.


Second, it is important to remember that everyone’s body is different. Nutrition is not a one size fits all approach. There may be some foods that you are allergic or have a sensitivity to. Not all food will work for you as it does to others. It is good to try out different kinds to see what you like and what you don't. Your journey to finding good nutrition habits does not have to be complicated. Take it one meal at a time. You will eventually find what works for you!



Third, food is how our body receives fuel. It’s important to have a balanced diet filled with different fruits and vegetables but don't feel like you can't have any of your favorite snacks. Like I said, it's all about balance. In order to make nutrition fun, make your plate colorful with different types of food and a wide variety of nutrients. Having a couple of oreos or chips is not going to be the end of the world. It's all about the making sure the amount of junk food you eat does not outweigh the amount of health foods. Don't be afraid to try something new and be adventurous with what you eat or where you eat. Go on a picnic, walk outside, and make it fun.


Finally, it can be a daunting task to begin a new journey. We at brixchicks get it. We want to encourage you. It’s important to not let eating healthy discourage you. Start by setting attainable goals. Take it one day at a time. Nutrition is a daily choice. It is allowed to be hard at first. Just do your best, you can do this! You are extraordinary, make your habits extraordinary too.
